Jean Wise is a freelance writer and Christian speaker at retreats, gatherings and seminars. She has published articles in the Lutheran, Christian Communicator, The RevWriter, public health journals and in God Answers Prayers – Military Edition. She also is a reporter at a daily local newspaper writing feature articles. She lives in Edon, Ohio with her husband enjoying their empty nest as their three adult children have flown the coop. A word-lover from way back, Laura Groves enjoys a world surrounded by words. She teaches Sophomore English World Lit and is nearing completion of her Master's in British and American Literature. She is the proud mother of four redheaded boys who are responsible for much of her material, and happily married for almost 30 years to a wonderful man. Laura has written for Moody magazine and Coral Ridge Ministries; in addition, she has authored and directed nine madrigal dinner plays and an historical drama. Laura has two books, a devotional and a book about mothering multiple sons, under consideration. Laura is an admitted subscriber to Merriam-Webster's Word of the Day and her entire family of six has red hair!

Clella Camp, author of “Just Walking”, is a retired secondary English teacher, married 56 years (to the same man), Christian for 57 years, two married children (both in specialized service for our Lord) 4 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, lives in Illinois in summer, Florida in winter, loves people (particularly teenagers; who knows why at her age), does some speaking (her friends say she is a natural for this ) walks and plays golf…she admits that she likes pretty clothes. She really doesn't have one quirky characteristic-she is quirky (according to the other Kindred Hearts.) Johnnie Alexander Donley, an aspiring novelist, is writing her second novel which is a finalist in this year's American Christian Fiction Writers' Genesis contest (historical fiction category). Her first novel, tentatively titled When Sparrow Falls, won Best Novel at the Florida Christian Writers Conference (2010). Johnnie's essays and poetry have been published in small press and regional markets. She has also written articles for a Christian website and has extensive editing/ghostwriting experience. However, her heart’s desire is to write inspirational fiction and family histories.

She is represented by Tamela Hancock Murray with The Steve Laube Agency.

Johnnie and her husband have two daughters, two sons-in-law, and four grandchildren. Their youngest child and only son disobyed the family rule, "Thou shalt not go west of the Mississippi," and is a college student in Oklahoma, more than a thousand miles from home.

Karen Evans is an aspiring writer who hopes her book of military boot camp devotions will be published - especially now that she has an agent The book is based on her son’s experiences. It won Best Devotional at the 2007 Florida Christian Writers Conference. Her children are both married, and she has one grandchild, one on the way, and three grand-dogs. Karen is the novice of the Kindred Hearts. She has a heart for the military and is presently training her dog for hospital visitation and also wishes to visit the two local VA hospitals in Florida. Karen always opens the kitchen blinds when she gets up, even at 3:30am, just to make her feel like it’s not so early.
