Johnnie Alexander Donley's debut novel, Where Treasure Hides, will be published as an ebook by Tyndale Digital First in January 2013. Her manuscript won the historical fiction category in the 2012 American Christian Fiction Writers' Genesis contest.

The story is about a Dutch-American artist, her father's greatest masterpiece, and the Nazi officer obsessed with having them both.

Named Florida Christian Writers Conference Writer of the Year (2009) and Best Novel (2010, 2009), Johnnie has also been named as a My Book Therapy Frasier Bronze Medalist (2012). 

An active member of ACFW, Johnnie is a judge for both the Genesis and First Impression contests, and she will be coordinating the historical fiction category for Genesis in 2013. She is also a founding member and vice-president of the ACFW Central Florida Chapter.

She is represented by Tamela Hancock Murray with The Steve Laube Agency.

Johnnie and her husband have two daughters, two sons-in-law, five grandchildren, and a papillon named Rugby. Their youngest child and only son disobyed the family rule, "Thou shalt not go west of the Mississippi," and is a college student in Oklahoma, more than a thousand miles from home.

My high school senior knows more than I do!! Really, he does. He's nice enough not to point that out. I tell him that any math I ever knew, I forgot. Same for science. Not to mention that everything has changed since 1980.
